Handcrafted Shawls

Tri-Cornered Shawls are woven on a Tri-Cornered Loom, with a continuous strand of yarn for both warp and weft. Color changes are automatically symetrical, making plaids, stripes, and tartan plaids easy to do. Handspun yarns show off beautifully, and, important to hand spinners, there is no loom waste.
Created on a bias, these Tri-Cornered Shawls drape more beautifully and remain on the shoulders more securely than the traditional rectangular shawl.
Gently hand wash hand knitted garments using a mild detergent and warm water. After a thorough rinse, blot with a towel to remove excessive moisture, and lay flat to dry.

# 23 Tri-Cornered Shawl (one of my all-time favorite creations) woven of handspun natural gray 100% Wool, paralleled with two bands of handspun commercially dyed soft pink 100% Wool. These are intersected with pink and red Wool plied with a novelty twist acrylic ply, then trace outlined with handspun black Wool yarn. Distinctive and with smaller block pattern, this Shawl would flatter any size wearer. Size 67" x 36" plus 3" fringe around all three sides. - $

Large blocks of white intersected by handspun bands of light brown fiber from the Farm's own Australian Shepherd dog, and accented with handspun natural rich chocolate brown Wool that has been plied with a white Wool single. # 47 Poncho, handspun and hand woven from a blend of 50% Wool and 50% Mohair. Woven on a 4-harness loom, creating alternating four inch color blocks of natural white and autumn brown (commercial dye). Outline highlighting with black and autumn brown yarn. The on-loom produced neck opening leaves two front panels to swish over the shoulders, wear belted, or tucked in. Size 62" long x 40" wide, plus 5" knotted fringe on two ends.
