January 14, 28, February 4, 11 ,25, The Black Sheep will conduct spinning classes for the intermediate spinner. Brush up on spinning skills covering the basics of the wheel, spinning a fine yarn, various plying methods, experiencing exotics and various type of fibers, trouble shooting, and spinning art yarns. February 18, The Black Sheep will be a presenter at the Ohio Ecological Food & Farm Association conference in Granville, Ohio, at 1:45 pm. Topic will be - over/under weaving on simple-to-construct looms. E-mail for more details, or go to www.OEFFA.org
March Sheep Shearing - come and watch the girls and boys getting undressed.
April 15 to 30, Lamb Watch - Babies will be arriving! Watch for pictures of their pasture debut in early May.
May 21, 22, Hudson High School Seniors come to the farm for an annual two-day Service Learning work experience.
May 26, 27, The 17th Annual Great Lakes Fiber Show will be held at the Wayne County Fairgrounds, 199 Vanover St, Wooster, Ohio 10:00 to 5:00 on Saturday and 10:00 to 4:00 on Sunday. August 18, 19, The Black Sheep will set up at the 2nd annual Mid Ohio Fiber Fair on the Newark Campus of Central Ohio Technical College, in Reese Center. 1179 University Drive, Newark, Ohio, 43055.
